What is Juvederm?
Juvederm was created by the makers of Botox, and this product provides smooth, long-lasting correction of moderate to
severe facial wrinkles and folds. Dermal fillers are used to restore volume and fullness to the skin, giving a healthy youthful
appearance.
Juvederm contains the highest concentration of non-animal cross-linked hyaluronic acid of any dermal filler. Hyaluronic
Acid is a natural complex sugar found in all living cells, it retains water like a sponge, absorbing more than 1000 times
its weight. This helps to attract and maintain water, hydrating your skin and increasing its volume and density.
How is a Juvederm treatment performed?
Juvederm is administered in a smooth flowing injection, allowing your provider a high level of control for individualized,
tailored facial contouring and for achieving a smooth natural look. This procedure is simple and quick, and the results are
practically instantaneous. Procedures can be painless with topical anesthesia and dental blocks.
How long does Juvederm last?
Juvederm typically lasts up to 1 year.
What areas can be treated by Juvederm?
Juvederm is most commonly used to correct smile lines, nasolabial folds(parentheses) and marionette lines. It can also
help to define the lip border, and give an appearance of a fuller lip.
What are the side effects?
