BOTOX

Botox is a simple, non-surgical procedure that smoothes the deep, persistent lines that develop over time.

How does Botox work?

Botox utilizes a natural protein that is administered at very low doses to reduce the contractions of the

muscles that cause those persistent frown lines.

What is a Botox treatment like?

Botox procedures are fast, simple and their is no anesthesia required. However some patients prefer the option of numbing the area with a cold pack or an anesthetic cream prior to injecting. Once treatment is complete there is no discomfort.

Where can Botox be used?

Botox treatments can be performed in a number of locations, including between your brows, forehead, eye area, perioral lines and neck.

Who is being treated with Botox Cosmetic?

Botox Cosmetic was the most popular cosmetic procedure in the United States for the fifth year in a row. Botox can be used on men and women of all skin colors and ethnicities.

What are the side effects?

Most common side effects include temporary injection site redness, swelling, and bruising. Rare side effects include headache, flu syndrome, temporary eye lid droop and nausea.

Important safety information:

Patients with certain neurological disorders such as ALS, Myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may be at increased risk of serious side effects.
